Hello,

I'm Insane Kangaroo and this is my blog. I'm pleased you're reading.

Video Professor, they've been scamming people
[info]insane_kangaroo
http://www.techcrunch.com/2009/11/28/video-professor-washington-post-scamville/

Clearly I remember the annoying Video Professor ads on TV years ago, as to which I hoped they'd just "go away." Apparently they've been scamming people by using deceptive business practices. You know, the type of "We'll charge you the full cost of the product if you don't return the product" except such print is extremely small.

I'm happy the Washington Post stated, “you’ll have to discuss directly with the editors at TechCrunch.” Obviously whoever was emailed, CC'd their response to the editor calling Video Professor a scam.

I would've told the guy at Video Professor to 'fuck off, you are a scam'

Video Professor is a scam, I know exactly the practice their using. I've not fell for it, but I've had such offers. Offers need to be stated clearly, along with terms which are not small in text. Your personal user doesn't have their own lawyer to go through all the 'fine text', nor should a person be required to hire a lawyer just for all the small text. Such information and ads need to be spelled clearly in "Plain English" for those who do not understand the contract as to which they're agreeing.

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Video_Professor#Video_Professor_lawsuit

Apparently they did try to sue people criticizing their bad business practices. Video Professor later withdrawn their lawsuit.

If anyone from Video Professor threatens me with a civil suit in regards to this post, I will counter sue. I'm not a push over and will defend truth, honor, and civil rights. I'm sure they've heard of the Streisand effect, though you never know with some people. Threatening or trying to have material removed will only further the spread of such materials.

Speckles Gray Highoof: Sock Puppet or wannabe crusader cat?
[info]insane_kangaroo
This is just lulz... He dislikes how everyone perceives him, so he creates a sock puppet.

http://www.furaffinity.net/user/specklesgreyhighoof

Not only does he create the sock puppet, he acts like the puppet is another person.

The crappy artwork for the avatar is another red flag. All of Crusader Cat's artwork looks like it was put through a blender.

http://furtube.magnify.net/user/6V7G742PJ11YLBQ2/user
Above is a link to the user's page, where he has commenting on all of Crusader Cat's uploads. Gee I wonder.

Simply googling the name will raise red flags.

He needs to just go away and quit the fandom, quick with the "I molested my cats", and quit with the "come to Jesus" ranting.

Crusader Cat is up for a vote on ED5
[info]insane_kangaroo
Seems Crusader Cat was nominated for the ED award. This is round 3 so far, I ask you register and vote.

http://forums.encyclopediadramatica.com/showthread.php?t=3579

'Internet Tough Guy vs. Crusader Cat' is this round.

http://encyclopediadramatica.com/Crusader_cat

Crusader Cat is the one who boast about molesting his cats, then went on a crusade to 'spread the word' on FA only to get himself banned for legal threats directed towards the administrators, which in turn is threatening FurAffinity directly.

Midwest FurFest Moves to a Crime Ridden Area for 2010. Have FUN Being a Victim of Crime.
[info]insane_kangaroo
I was made aware from a post on LiveJournal the annoyances at MFF, so they will be moving.

Well, I don't know about others, but I don't go anywhere for a lengthy period of time without a means to defend myself.

"For 2010, we are moving to the Hyatt Regency O'Hare, just 5 minutes from O'hare Airport and a short 16 miles to Downtown Chicago.

www.fedstats.gov/mapstats/crime/county/17031.html

Crime Number
Total 211,764
Murder 631
Rape 0
Robbery 19,345
Aggravated Assault 26,545
Burglary 28,327
Larceny - theft 106,127
Motor vehicle thefts 29,727
Coverage indicator 100%

Rapes aren't reported, I wonder why...
EDIT - Gray pointed out I was mistaken at the data. The data is Cook County, which encompasses Chicago.
I note rapes are not reported, of which they are probably in the thousands. So there are about 211k crimes, not listing type of larceny - theft. Speaking to someone who lives two miles away from the place where MFF was held this year, the person says the area next year is worse in crime. What do you expect for some place which is held closer to people in a state which doesn't allow people to defend themselves. Forced to flee, forced to be a sheep.

Such crimes wouldn't be a problem if law abiding citizens would be allowed to carry a firearm for self defense in IL.

Have fun being murdered and raped... I'm not ever going to MFF/Midwest FurFest long as it's being hosted in a state where people are only allowed to be victims which can't fight back.

Midwest CrimeFest... Midwest SlaughterFest... Have fun without me.

People are so ungrateful where I work
[info]insane_kangaroo
I've been dealing with South Peninsula Behavioral Health Services for a while. I don't ask much, I don't even ask a thanks from the people I directly help. I however feel the disrespect in regards to how they've been treating me for the last couple of years.

First off they were unappreciative with the work I performed, since there were a ton of hardware issues which were not my fault. I can't control the weather, I can't control failing routers, and I certainly can't control PEBKAC.

Last year they contracted a sham computer auditing company out of Anchorage, , to go over the network and see what is 'wrong'. Not only was this company absolutely biased to hardware, they left many lines regarding the use of 'open source software' being horrible, insecure, and needing to be replaced. SPBHS, Inc. also had a very good friend who is the systems manager for the City of Homer come in and go over the report. I'm just happy Steve Bambakidis has an open mind and is not a moron like those who swear to Windows and proprietary systems like a religion. He convinced them I was doing an okay job, which I was performing a fantastic job given the circumstances.

Last week the Exchange ActiveSync went down after a reboot required by a Windows update. Every time someone tried to access OWA or try ActiveSync the CPU usage would go up 100% and not work. Well I spent a few hours afterwards one day, then the following day I stayed until 2200 hours getting ActiveSync to work. The CEO left to Anchorage the first night I tried to get it working. The second night I stayed until 2200 hours, I was waiting through reboots since I was uninstalling exchange, IIS, and other modules, rebooting the machine afterwards. The machine takes approximately 10-20 miutes to start back up from a reboot.

Anyway, the CEO gets back and I ask her, "ActiveSync works, are you happy?" and I get a response like, "It's not whether I'm happy or not, it's a business requirement."

Now, I wasn't taking the remark seriously since NCIS the night before was about the power going out and everyone except Jedd going crazy without the use of technology. Which I note there was even a ditto machine in the show.

I thought later the day and thought, "What an asshole"... I've been spoiling all my users with tons of automation and ease, people are taking work I perform for granted as a 'normal' function of the workplace. Some places don't have web mail, and many places certainly do not allow people to use their own equipment to ActiveSync to a work server.

This is only an example of a long list of how I've been mistreated at work on an emotional level.

"Anchorage Daily News" is War-dialing
[info]insane_kangaroo
What the hell is wrong with businesses, this is how one of the larger newspapers earn money? War-dialing is absolutely unprofessional in every aspect even from a non-business side.

War dialing should be unlawful if it already isn't, along with Robo calls. This is exactly why I don't have a home phone anymore and only have a cellphone. I've never once received any annoying calls. When I used to have a home line, I allowed the calls to ring straight on the fax machine on receive-only mode.

Anchorage Daily News is really shady and I don't recommend people subscribe to their newspaper.

The dwindling amount of men in the business space
[info]insane_kangaroo
There appears to be a real issue of men working at places of business. Women run the businesses in long term jobs while men perform seasonal work. Men must cope with being under the woman. oh the irony of men having support groups, this is not limited to the place where I work. I believe such groups are ridiculous, I make a reasonable attempt to treat every person the same, no matter the sex. While I occasionally have a slip up when talking about animal behavior I may refer to females or males without reference, I do care what I say around others who may or may not feel offended.

Pittsburgh International Airport - The ordinance is not enforceable, the DA conceded
[info]insane_kangaroo
Commonwealth of Pennsylvania v. Insane Kangaroo
Docket Number: CP-02-SA-0001853-2009
http://ujsportal.pacourts.us/docketsheets/CPReport.aspx?matterID=201502842
Case status: Closed
Disposition: NOT GUILTY

This incident is in regards to carrying a firearm at the non-secure area of the airport.

The DA conceded after reading the lawyer's brief and will not attempt to appeal the dismissal.

Defense brief: http://furryzone.com/user/insane_kangaroo/file/court/BRIEF_091030_ross.pdf

"The airport authority will be having a meeting later this month and a
discussion of the result in your case will be at the top of their agenda." (McCormick)

Allegheny County Ordinance as follows:

§ 705-39. Weapons and firearms. A. No person, except law enforcement officers, post office and custom officials, or members of the Armed Forces of the United States on active duty, shall carry any weapon, firearm, explosive or inflammable material on the airport premises except by specific direction of the Director, the Superintendent of Police or their designees.
B. No person shall transport any weapon or firearm except when it is properly enclosed for shipment and is not in the person's manual possession.
C. No person shall discharge any weapon or firearm at the airport except in the performance of official duties requiring the discharge thereof.

Mexico's drug and firearms problem is not the US's fault
[info]insane_kangaroo
Mexico is WELL KNOWN to have a corrupt police force. Denial goes nowhere. Soon as people admit it, the US can send in forces to deal with their issues and stabilize their county.

http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20091109/ap_on_re_la_am_ca/lt_drug_war_police_vs_soldiers

When solders have a tough time stopping drug cartels because of corrupt police, there is a major problem.

My message to Mexico leaders, "Get your fucking nose out of the business of the US. You have your own problems. US guns are not the problem in Mexico, the government which runs Mexico is the problem."

I believe the US should perform the following steps:
1) Seize control of the Mexican government
2) Perform checks on all government officials which have power in Mexico, including a polygraph
3) Add every 31 states of Mexico to the United States, force their hand if need be
4) Take absolute control over all government activities, set up a special forces unit comprised of military forces from the US
5) Clear out the drug thugs and cripple the narcotic economy of Mexico

People of Mexico who have a problem with what I'm saying, deal with it. I must deal with the false information being put out by the Mexican government, I'm going to say what I want in relation to how Mexico should be administered.

Here is my version of what Mexico should look like in reality:

Here was an ad orchestrated by Absolut, the alcohol beverage:

Why doesn't exercise neccesarily lead to weight loss? Diet, duh
[info]insane_kangaroo

http://bjsm.bmj.com/cgi/content/abstract/bjsm.2009.065557v1

"However, 26 of the 58 participants failed to attain the predicted weight loss estimated from individuals’ exercise-induced energy expenditure."

______________________

Are people stupid? 1) people some how believe exercising for 12 weeks will magically change them 2) those people being obese, they brought it on themselves 3) people need to stop chowing down on chocolate and bonbons thinking a box or two is "ok."

I'm a person who has been challenged in regards to weight, since I'm fairly active and have always been, by not being able to gain weight. I've recently discovered the power of carbs and eating tons of food past what my activities have burned. I've been happy to gain weight, and am now at a sufficient weight. The research in the link is a little dumb in my opinion. The only exercise the obese people performed were aerobic, what about the anaerobic exercise? No wonder many people are skinny flakes which 'exercise.' Being 'skinny' like in the magazines isn't what a good structure is about, a person needs to muscle build as well.

If only New Jersey had a law against Bestiality...
[info]insane_kangaroo
we wouldn't have assholes like Crusader Cat making the fandom look bad announcing to the world, "I molested my cats, come to Jesus!"

Yes... he is back, apparently on the same path he was on when he left the Internet the last time around.
http://crusadercat.webs.com/
http://www.youtube.com/user/CrusadertheCat

He claims to have assburgers, the diagnosis used by those who are absolutely anti-social to the point where they push away EVERYONE. Someone for the love of Roo help this guy. Someone should call his family and inform them of his obscene behavior.

It's snowing, life is doing well, and I've been working like usual
[info]insane_kangaroo
There was snow outside when I woke up, lovely snow. My malamute always goes snow crazy, as she exhibits when I go to check on her in the mornings.

I've been extremely satisfied with my dental work. I did get my braces off and have been eating everything I wasn't supposed to eat while I had braces. I love eating bagels, one of the items on my list of foods I shouldn't eat while I had braces. PIzza crusts, biting whole apples, and eating caramel among other things.

Work has been doing okay, like usual. I've been accomplishing some of my goals. Next week they've a discussion on implementing the internal web pages I've been wanting to implement for a while now.

Living in the Alaska Winter
[info]insane_kangaroo
Random thoughts:

The temperature drops drastically about this time of year as where I live readies to scatter snow everywhere in town. I'm curious how this winter will be compared to the other years I've lived here. The winter last year was fair, and the winter before was mushy.

I hope to take another firearms course during the winter months, perhaps low light shotgun/pistol. Training is absolutely important to me. While carrying a firearm may be right, people should inspire to enroll in firearms courses. Ultimately I want to reach at least 80 hours of firearms training per calendar year.

This winter I hope to be outside more on the beach with my dogs, as being active in the winter months is very important. One shouldn't be lazy and lay around all day wasting their life away, especially at the computer. There is so much to do in life, I find people who spend all their free time screwing around pissing their life away absolutely ridiculous.

I must work on my fursuit which I've been putting off for a long time. I've enough fur to make 2 or 3 fursuits since I played the, "oh I don't like the color after all" game.

My braces, they're finally removed
[info]insane_kangaroo
This morning I was expecting to have my bands changed, and ended up having my braces removed instead!

THe time spent wearing braces consisted of 20 months, which may not be long to those who needed braces in the past. 20 minutes is a long time for me, 20 months felt like eternity. I'm going to enjoy the day eating lots of popcorn, tough sour dough, nuts, and all the other wonderful items I couldn't eat while I was wearing braces on my person.

Hooray, oorah, etc!

I must wear retainers for 6 months 24/7, then I can wear them 12 hours a day. The next item on the agenda is to have my teeth cleaned.

10% @ LAPoliceGear.com - holsters, boots, belts, etc (Expires midnight Oct 25th PST)
[info]insane_kangaroo
http://www.lapolicegear.com/
promo code: 10off

I purchased my boots from LAPoliceGear when there was a 10% off coupon in the past.
http://www.lapolicegear.com/ma19allle10w.html
^ These boots are really good for those who are looking for any standardized boot which can be used for just about any use, even dress. I generally blouse my pants, so these boots look great.

The Safariland holsters are priced nicely as well, I'll link to the level III holster which is upgradable to level V. Unfortunately they don't have the Safariland 6002 add-on, which you can buy elsewhere.
http://www.lapolicegear.com/sa60raleiiid.html

They do have Blackhawk holsters, but I don't ever recommend those for open carry.

I'm flying back to Alaska
[info]insane_kangaroo

I'm going to depart soon. My time spent in Pittsburgh has been interesting. I met with mjflick, a constonstable, to have dinner. The reason for which I came wasnDt completed, thankfully someone else will handle the case since I don't have to be here. I walked around Pittsburgh much of the yesterday and am starting to learn how to use the bus system. I didn't do much else while I've been here. My flight to Pittsburgh was hectic enough. The hotel I stayed at was nice, like the old style hotels without a 24 hour front desk. My luggage happened to be delayed, causing my luggage to be delivered personally at 2345 hours. I was definity bothered my firearms did not follow me to my destination. Anyway, the flight will take off soon, so I better go.
